list - planning a game project
in able to make my game i need to make a list of all the assets i will need for the game, and i will also need to write on what i need to do in order to achieve my asset etc etc
first thing first is i need to do the character designs so i have a clear idea on what my characters would look like, even though i want my game to be in a birds eye view style, when interating with another character, it will turn into a visual novel kind of thing, where you see the top half of the body, with a box of text and choices etc etc
character desgins - digital and traditional drawings - must draw their face and hair with some expression showing how the character is and also a full body shot to show their outfit
sprite - i must create sprites for all the characters especially the main character mostly, as the main character will be walking around, the others wont be, so i need to draw several sprites in several different ways to obtain the correct walking animation, for the other characters, they will just be standing still so simple sprites will be needed for these
back grounds - all back grounds will be still and drawn however i will need to create sprites and such to block the character from walking over trees, and off the map/ over fences etc. so to also do this i will need to program it properly in construct 2 to make sure the character doesnt walking through certain things
visual novel style - for this to work i'm going to need to create different positions of each character to show their emotions and actions when the main character says something right or wrong, not only this but i will need to edit in alot of text and path ways to make sure you either end up with a bad ending or a good ending
bad endings - with a good ending the character will disappear and you can walk to the next stage how ever with the bad ending,the character you are talking to will show obvious characteristics which will alarm you, you have reached the bad ending, and a screen will appear saying "you died", and thats the end for you, you lose
