target audience definition - " a target audience is a specific group of people within the target market at which a product or the marketing message of a product is aimed at.- A target audience can be formed of people of a certain age group, gender, marital status,
etc., e.g. teenagers, females, single people, etc. A combination of
factors, e.g. men aged 20–30 is a common target audience. Other groups,
although not the main focus, may also be interested. Discovering the
appropriate target market(s)and determining the target audience is one
of the most important activities in marketing management (Niewenhuizen et al.
2000). Perhaps the biggest mistake it's possible to make in targeting
is trying to reach everybody and ending up appealing to no-one. "
when making an animation or any type of work for somone, you always have to consider who you're making it for (audience) e.g sex, age, or their type of profession etc, for the 11 second club you have to make an animation that is 11 seconds long, in order for it to suit the needs of the audience, it must have certain assets, such as:
* it has to be the exact time length, nothing shorter or longer than 11 seconds or else the audience will judge you harshly
* the animation can be either 3d or 2d they dont mind as long as you have a decent frame set (300-500) frames, i'd say 250 is the minimum
* to suit the audience, you need to have decent movement and lip syncing ( if any is needed) in the animation, if you have very slow/ fast movement or the snimation isnt timed correctly, or even if the lip syncing is off slightly or there is none at all, you will be judged and given quite alot of critisizm, there will also be a point where they will give you tips for improvement.
* the audeience or the 11 second club can be classed as professionals at what they do so it can be hard meeting their standards
when making an animation all you need to do is make sure you work on it enough and the audience will want you to atleast work on your animation for atleast a few days, to make it look good, if you are a prefessional it wont take long.
so in order to make your animation suitable for the audience, make sure your film and audio match, its the correct time length, there are a decent amount of frames and it isn't too jumpy, add a background or colour maybe, you will get low marks if you have a very boring animation, make sure the lip syncing is decent enough and that you have alot of movement, having quite a bof movement in your animation shows that you are capable of making a very interesting and full animation, you can watch different things happening at one time, and this is what the audience want, this is what will get you the high marks
this is what you need to consider when you make an animation to suit your target audience
